The next Annual General Meeting of Stoke Rochford Seniors is scheduled to be held in the clubhouse at 8.30am am on Wednesday 18th January 2012.  

 

Winter Warmers competitions commence in October and are held on most Wednesdays through to March. They are open to all Stoke Seniors and are individual, team and novelty games with a different format each week. The emphasis is on enjoying the game and is a very good chance of playing with different partners each week. Points are awarded 5 for the best score down to 1 for each person competing. The finale is a lunch at which wine and spirits prizes are usually presented to the leading six players over the winter. Alan Dolby was the winner in 2011. Seniors Winter League commenced its thirteenth year in October 2011. Entries are in pairs with each being required to play eight games of better ball match play with one point for each hole won, half point for halved holes. On completion of the league during January the leading four in Division One and the leading two teams in each Division Two play off to in knock out to decide the overall winners. Champions in 2011 were Graham Miller & Roger Smith. For more details please see the Winter League page

 

The Christmas  Bring & Win will be  played on Wednesday 14th December 2011.  Allowed only 2 clubs plus a putter each player provides a prize for the table with the leaders picking first.

 

Lincolnshire Past Captains Competition is organised annually.  It is played usually in August on a different course each year.  The planned future venues are

2014 Stoke Rochford
2015 Holme Hall, Scunthorpe

The competition is open to past and present Seniors Captains.  The following fifteen Stoke members qualify to play.  Joe Lindley,  John Callow, John Helstrip,  Dennis Whight, John Wright, Alan Jessop, Richard Leverett, Fred Bellingall, Walt Barber, Alan Harvey, Philip Varley, Joe Kime,  Keith Dugmore & Tim Haward and Don Werner.
